[Haruya Higashiyama] is a Kyomachiya that was built 100 years ago, and has a "Omotaya-zukuri" style. Located in Higashiyama, Kyoto, which is 15 minutes underground from Kyoto, and is visited by more than 1,200 million people a year, within walking distance to Kiyomizu Temple, Gion, Nanzenji Temple and others. In the morning and evening, you can enjoy a refreshing walk along the stream of Shirakawa. [Haruya] does not serve meals, but there are many restaurants around [Haruya], including Gion and Pontocho in Kyoto's Goka-gai.
